ArtWave Long Beach

POW! WOW! Long Beach is a week-long, city-wide public art event that takes place in the summer throughout Long Beach. It is part of the globally recognized POW! WOW! The city of Long Beach has executed murals in over 40 square miles throughout the city, from South Street to Ocean Boulevard, creating a walkable, bikeable public art experience unlike anything else in the country. Working as the Art director with Intertrend to the develop the brand identity, we created a modular logo system and typeface that could work well to be a framework for the artwork and festival of events throughout the week.
